Central idea:

  Materials behave and interact in certain ways, which determine how people use them.                  

Lines of Inquiry:

• Changing properties of materials (causation)

• Manipulation and application of materials to new purposes (change)

*Behaviour of materials  (function)    

*We talked about our  5 senses and completed some activities to find out about these in ore detail.

*We discussed 'What is a material?'

* We explored different circuits, made potions and played with magnets.

Literacy and Maths

* Story - The Little Red Hen

*We read our new story and role played the story using masks for the different characters.
*We played games and have started to learn a song about the Little Red Hen.

*Phonics - New sounds - 'ai' and 'ee'

*2D AND 3D shapes and their properties.
