Welcome back to school!

Field Trip to our local farm

Next week we will visit our local farm. We will not be visiting the silk worm farm as it is too early to see the worms. We will be back in school just after lunchtime.

Please remember to drop off a car seat on Wednesday morning ready for the trip.

This Week......

UOI

For the rest of the year we will be working on 2 Units of inquiry at the same time.

Tuning in - We made an airport in K2.

- We had a waiting room, cafes, shops and check in desks.

- Our first destination was Thailand. We learnt about Udon Thani, made Udon pots, sang songs and played Thai games.

English

 - Reading stories about aeroplanes and Thailand.

- The letter sound 'o' and words that start with that sound. 

-Reviewing the sounds 's,a,t,p,i,n,c,k,e,h, m,g,d'

- Continuing to learn how to blend and segment simple CVC words. i.e sat, cat, pat.

Maths

- Weighing our bags and ourselves.

- Weighing ingredients to make Thai food.

Tuning in - We will be finding out about the Japanese culture. Lisa's mum will be coming into school to teach us a Japanese song.
- We will also start designing our outdoor garden.
- We will be visiting our local farm.
